Laois Junior 'B' Football Championship

Ballylinan w/o Rathdowney scr

All were set in Ballylinan for the Laois Junior ‘B’ Football Championship Quarter-Final between the home side and Rathdowney.  A large home crowd were in attendance on this a perfect evening for football hoping for a competitive game and ideally a home win.  The Ballylinan team took to the field and looked well up for this quarter final.  Referee Richard Oxley was also ready for the off at 8pm but no sign of Rathdowney.  Ballylinan continued their preparation and at about 8.20pm referee Richard Oxley informed the Ballylinan Officials that he was awarding a walk over to Ballylinan as Rathdowney failed to turn up to fulfil the fixture.
